Too soon. Without making any sound the autumn has taken its last breath. Grey leaves lie silently on the frozen ground, all color drained from their veins. Once again, the autumn has left us alone.
The Faux Noise proudly presents a DJ-Mix and ten amazing remixes. Each remix tells a different story, exploring yet another shade of the autumn leaves that are forever lost.
You’ll find remixes from some of the most talented people around; Morpion (UK), Peter Sauces (Brazil), Somfay (Canada), Paulice (Argentina), Troj (Singapore) and more…
Take a listen to the 19 minutes long “ReCreation DJ-Mix” by Aliana from Philippines. A DJ-Mix made in the aftermath of the typhoon Ondoy.
“… I was among the lucky ones who suffered minimal damage: a muddy house after the storm, being stranded in my city for several days, and loss of electricity and connection to the world wide web …” says Aliana.
Download our booklet and read about the remixers own thoughts. Learn about the story behind the beautiful and haunting DJ-mix, made after all the devastating typhoons. Feel the remixers emotions through their art and take your time to let their expressions grow on you. Knock down your own walls.
The remixes are all based on our psalm ”I Can’t Stop Breaking You Down”. Accompanied with the heavenly voice from the French artist Laurence Dugas-Fermon.
The wonderful artwork (cover) for this remix album was made by Joanna Hellgren (Stockholm/Sweden).
“The Faux Noise are giving away their second single ‘I Cant Stop Breaking You Down’ for free, as seems to be the tradition nowadays. But, if this is the quality of the album then put me down for a copy. Autumnal, breathy and truly epic.”
says the UK based music blog Attack!Attack!Attack!
The autumn has finally surrounded us. It is dark, the silence is obvious, stars shine bright and the leaves head for the sky. The perfect time to release the follow-up to the anthem “Oh Father (Hymn)” – the great psalm ”I Can’t Stop Breaking You Down (with Laurence Dugas-Fermon).
”Love the spacious ambiance. Carries so much emotion, so much soul, that it captures the attention. Yes, it’s beautiful” says Peter Sauces.
”I Can’t Stop Breaking You Down” was written at ‘Hotel on Rivington’, NYC last year. Produced and finalized this spring in Sweden by The Faux Noise.
Being lonely is an art.
Thank you.
