“I must confess I hadnt heard of Swedish band The Faux Noise prior to an email in my inbox, but after a little digging im glad I recieved the bumper pack of mp3’s.
See The Faux Noise themselves are very seventees infused rock, much like Battles (only less…mathy) or Wolfmother, absolutely loving it. Its clear from the proggy sounds who their influences are.
Also included are a bunch of remixes from Kreeps, Efficient Sine and Myss. All of which you can imagine, intertwine the original guitar and vocals and let them loose in an electronic soundscape, where they can roam free. If further introduction were needed, I blatently stole this from the bands myspace:”

OMFG! Just in time before we are about to release our second song. We’ve got a really dirty remix by KREEPS (US), the remixer of Chrome Hoof, TurboWolf, Elektrons, Coco Electrik, Sleepy Eyes Of Death, Micron 63 and more.
Oh Yes, the bass sounds like My Bloody Valentine during their best moments and hits hard like Autokratz.

Hi!
We are currently in the last stage of finishing our upcoming psalm “I Can’t Stop Breaking You Down”. In the meanwhile, we got this amazing remix from the brilliant guys in Efficient Sine. An analogue neu-bossa version of The Faux Noise anthem ’Oh Father (Hymn)’. Cry your heart out.

Thats it for now.

“Yes! It’s that time again! Inbox filter is set to stunned and here are some of the best things to travel into our gmail over the last few weeks…” says TooManySebastians
“The Faux Noise are from Sweden, home of a million and one stereotypes. They have this bio on their myspace which they asked me to read, but it was typed really small and when I did read it, it featured sentences like “melancholic mark of the new millennium”, which ditracts from the fact they sent us two very nice tracks. “Oh Father (Hymn)” is a really nice “indiesque” thingy which all the cool trendy people may go crazy for it (I have no radar for what the Indiekidz are diggin) and a remix from TMS favourites Myss, a typically “bangerish” remix from them. Pick your flavour!” says TooManySebastians
